EXPERIENCE

Full Time Tutor                                                                                                                                                 2018 – Current

I am a full time tutor with area of expertise in subjects Physics, Science and Mathematics. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, hence I can teach in both languages. I am adequate of tutoring Malaysia’s Curriculum and Cambridge International Education Curriculum.

I am comfortable tutoring both one to one basis and in group basis. For tutoring to a group of students, I will make sure their various level of ability and achievement was entertained. Weaker student will be given more guidance with emphasize on mastering basic knowledge of subjects before proceeding to higher level of knowledge. Student will be taught basic concept of a topic before guided on manipulating basic concept into more complicated situation.

Some of my honored moment as a tutor includes tutoring an ‘A’ level student with his Physics and Mechanics subjects. The one-to-one sessions with the student help him ace topics such as motion and electric circuit. Apart from that, a handful numbers of distinct improvement from fail to pass in examination has added astonish milestone to my career as a tutor. As a geophysicist, I analyzed earth subsurface property using geology, physics and mathematical term. Final result of my analysis was the earth subsurface image used to locate natural resources such as oil and gas trapped beneath earth layers.

Over the 10 years period, I provided supervision and guidance to junior staff and student on internship program. I coached them so they could deliver expected result as a team member. In the same time, I helped them levelled their stress and maintain good mental health and positivity.

I had also acted as a focal person who managed and administered projects. I managed communication with clients via meetings and reports. In the same time, I managed communication among team member to ensure smooth operations and good teamwork. I was also responsible to make prior planning for workforce management to the appropriate level of efficiency within expected quality of end result and turnaround time.

As a management trainee, I managed an outlet of Guardian Pharmacy, Malaysia’s leading health and beauty store.Job scope and experiences gained includes managing store attendees in term of work load delegation, physical appearances and their well-being. I ensured day to day operations was smooth by making sure store was in good condition and well equipped for business. I also managed daily basis debit and credit flow of the store and provided monthly report to headquarter.

I know and worked with ma’am Nur Asyikin when she was selected as a leader of one of the Volunteer Groups of the World Urban Forum 9 (WUF9, wuf9.org) which happened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2018. She is a hard worker and a lovely person to work with. Her skill of handling all of her team members were highly praised and she is very versatile even when facing a myriad of requests ranging from delegates to the secretariat. Her calm and professional work ethic as well as having a “yes” attitude made it easy for anyone who worked with her. A great volunteer and an even greater leader, I enjoyed working with her at the forum.
